Richard O'Brien's

A Concert Version
Acting for a Cure produced “The Rocky Horror Tribute Show” as a benefit on Broadway in 2007 to raise funds Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Tribute Show was a concert version of “The Rocky Horror Show". The owner and writer of the show, Mr. Richard O’Brien, recently produced the concert version of the “Tribute” show as a fundraising benefit in London to rave reviews. He graciously donated the royalty rights to Acting for a Cure to produce the show for this very worthy cause.
Rachel Helson, through her production company Acting for a Cure, was the first producer of The Rocky Horror Tribute Show in New York City other than Mr. Richard O'Brien himself. Mr. O'Brien revamped the content and first performed this version at the Royal Court Theatre's 50th Anniversary celebration with all proceeds going to Amnesty International.
Acting for a Cure's benefit performance was held Monday, April 16, 2007 at The American Airlines Broadway Theatre and raised over $30,000. Thanks to all of our volunteers and corporate sponsors who made the show a smashing success! The show's proceeds went to the Louisville and New York City affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
